Tsuzura Terraced Rice Fields
About 30 minutes by car from Maruttera.
These sunlit slopes are used for rice cultivation, creating a picturesque landscape in harmony with the surrounding mountains and clear streams. Tsuzura Terraced Rice Fields were selected as one of the “Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields in Japan” by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1999, recognized for both their beauty and historical value.
